Londonderry Students Approach Finish Line

Here are five things you should know in Londonderry today.

1. School's out for summer! Well, no, not quite yet. While LHS seniors took the next big step in life last Friday, the rest of Londoderry students must hold out for four more days. That's right, school is almost out for the summer. This Friday, June 21, marks the final day of classes for the 2012-'13 school year.

2. Leap into summer reading! Register for summer reading and plenty of fun at the Londonerry Leach Library, which will be leaping into the summer reading program with a visit with Froggy. Participants are invited to come to the library on Tuesday, June 25, Wednesday, June 26 or Thursday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to hear some fabulous stories of summertime fun. There will be plenty of time for pictures and a hug with Froggy. Each session is open to 90 participants. Advance registration is required and begins on Thursday, June 20 at 9 a.m. To register call 432-1127 or stop by the Children’s Room. 3. The weatherman says ... Sunshine abound today with the forecasted high, according to Weather.com, being 76 degrees with a 0-percent chance of rain and an overnight low of 49 degrees.

4. Don't forget! Londonderry Town Hall will be closed for one hour this Thursday, June 20, at noon, and will reopen with full town services at 1 p.m.
