Mack Plaque Set to Take Place this Weekend

1. TODAY'S FORECAST: Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 70 followed by mostly clear skies tonight and a low of 49.

2. MACK PLAQUE RUNS UNTIL SUNDAY: The annual Mack Plaque tournament between Londonderry and Pinkerton is set to take place through the weekend. Pinkerton will play host to the annual rivalry this year. In one of the great New Hampshire traditions, LHS will try to "Sink the Pink" in football, golf, soccer, field hockey, volleyball and cross country.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1930, golfer Bobby Jones wins his fourth major tournament of the year, making him the first person ever to win the "Grand Slam" of golf. Jones beat Gene Homans in match play format, 8 and 7, meaning he was eight holes ahead with just seven holes left to play.
