Mack's 'Run for the Apples' to Take Place this Weekend

1. TODAY'S FORECAST: The warm weather will continue in Londonderry today with a high of 90 and clear skies. Tonight will dip down to a low of 66 and mostly clear skies.
2. DID YOU SEE THE BLUE MOON?: Last night, a blue moon (the last until 2015) reportedly dominated the night sky. Did you see the moon? Sound off in the comments.
3. MACK'S RUN FOR THE APPLES: The annual race is scheduled to take place this Sunday at 5 p.m. Registration starts at 4 p.m. at Mack's Apples on Mammoth Road.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: The modern United States receives its crowning star when President Dwight D. Eisenhower signs a proclamation admitting Hawaii into the Union as the 50th state.The president also issued an order for an American flag featuring 50 stars arranged in staggered rows: five six-star rows and four five-star rows. The new flag became official July 4, 1960.
