Man Rescued From Water After Boat Capsizes On Lake Massabesic
Auburn, Chester firefighters responded to Lake Massabesic for a capsized sailboat. Off-duty firefighter was key to the speedy rescue.
AUBURN, NH — Auburn Fire, and Chester Rescue were dispatched to a call for a capsized sailboat with a person in the water on the Manchester Road side of the lake Thursday at 4 p.m.
An off-duty Auburn firefighter was on the lake in a motorized boat at the time, and pulled the man to his boat.
Auburn Fire personnel with their boat responded to the spot of the boat with the victim and made sure he was not physically injured.

Auburn Fire crew put a diver in the water and hooked up to the capsized boat and attempted to upright the boat. It did not appear it was successful and members of the yacht club were assisting the owner with his boat.
