MANCHESTER, NH - Manchester police responded to the area of Pine Street and Orange Street Monday a report that someone had just stolen an Amazon delivery truck.

Officers arrived at about 2:10 p.m. and were told by an employee that he had pulled over to the side of the street to make a delivery, and exited the van with it still running. As he brought the package to the building he saw a male enter the van and drive away with the 2019 Ford E450 van.

As officers were taking the report a call came in for a damaged abandoned delivery van on Madeline Road about one mile from where the vehicle was stolen from. Police located the van and found new damage to the van that was possibly caused by striking a utility pole.

Police were assisted by Amazon employees who took an inventory of the van and found that no packages were missing. The driver reported that some of his personal property was missing from the van.

Police say video surveillance footage from the truck allowed investigators to identify Devyn Smith-Gutierrez, 21 of Manchester as the person who allegedly took the vehicle. It was discovered that Smith-Gutierrez was currently out on bail from a previous arrest for criminal trespass on May 13th.
