Man Arrested at Airport on Child Porn Charges

Merrimack and Londonderry Police were waiting to arrest suspect at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport late Wednesday night.

A Merrimack man was arrested Wednesday night by Merrimack Police who were waiting for him with Londonderry Police at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport two days after they seized computers from his home that allegedly contain child pornography images.

Jeffrey M. Arrich, 42, of 38 Erik St., Merrimack, was charged with five counts of possession of child pornography when he was arrested on a warrant shortly before midnight on Oct. 23.

The warrant stems from a report the Merrimack Police department received on Oct. 21 of suspicious items located at Arrich's residence. After an initial investigation, police were lead to 38 Erik street where they executed a search warrant on Oct. 21. As a result of this search, Merrimack Police seized multiple computers and peripheral computer equipment along with images that were later confirmed to be child pornography.

Londonderry and Merrimack Police were waiting for Arrich at the airport upon his arrival, two days later.

Arrich is being held on $30,000 cash and was due the 9th Circuit Court –District Division – in Merrimack Thursday morning at 9 a.m. for arraignment.

Authorities are continuing their investigation, and are working in conjunction with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
