Monday Essentials: An August Heat Wave in Londonderry?

Here are a handful of things you should know today in Londonderry.

1. Congresswoman in the house! Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) will tour a Londonderry business today. Get all the details here.

2. What was your favorite part of Londonderry Old Home Days? Check out our recap of the five-day annual event and then use the comment section to let us know what you enjoyed most about the local festivities.

3. August Heat Wave? Maybe, maybe not. If temperatures rise above 90 degrees three days in a row this week, southern New Hampshire may, in fact, be in store for one more summer heat wave. Regardless, temperatures are expected to rise steadily the next few days beginning with today, which features a forecasted high of 85 degrees and a 10-percent chance of rain, according to Weather.com.

4. It's that time of year. That's right, it's back-to-school time and Londonderry Patch has you covered! Find bus routes, backpack basics and more in our exclusive Londonderry back-to-school section.

5. On the agenda.
