Motorcycle Crashes In Londonderry And Auburn Seriously Injure Three

Firefighters from Derry, Windham, Hudson arrived at one crash Sunday, while other Auburn and Derry fighters were sent to another crash.

LONDONDERRY, NH — Londonderry Police and fire responded to the intersection of Route 102 and Mohawk Drive for a report of an accident involving a motorcycle and a car Sunday.

Londonderry Fire Engine 2 arrived at 12:26 p.m. and found the motorcycle operator down in the roadway. An evaluation determined one patient had severe injuries, and there were multiple other people injured, with one occupant of the car entrapped, according to Londonderry Fire.

Additional apparatus, including LFD Rescue, a Derry engine, and three additional ambulances from Derry, Windham, and Hudson. Companies on the scene worked together to free the trapped occupant and treat the injured parties. In total, two patients were transported from the scene to local emergency departments, one of which had serious injuries and one of which had minor injuries.

Londonderry Fire remained on the scene for about three hours, assisting Londonderry Police during their accident reconstruction. Initial information is that the car was traveling North on Mohawk and entered Route 102, where the motorcycle was traveling east.

Londonderry Police are investigating the accident, and no additional information is available at this time.

Earlier Sunday, Auburn and Derry Fire responded to an accident involving a single motorcycle on Bypass 28 near Priscilla Lane. Auburn Fire arrived at the scene and found two people with serious injuries down in the road. Fire and EMS gave medical aid to the victims and requested a trauma alert at the Elliot Hospital for the two victims.

The roadway was closed for about one hour while the accident was investigated, and the scene was clear. Initial information is that the motorcycle traveled with several other motorcycles South on Bypass 28.
