One Dead, Two Injured In Crash On South Willow Street, Perimeter Road

One man died at the scene despite immediate medical attention from firefighters. The two cars appear to have crashed head-on.

MANCHESTER, NH — Two vehicles collided in what appears to be a head-on crash at South Willow Street and Perimeter Road Sunday.

Manchester Fire Station 3, located in the immediate area where the crash occurred, immediately responded before even being dispatched. Upon arrival, they encountered two vehicles in a head-on collision.

Captain Brett French of Engine 3 requested additional recourses. Two occupants had removed themselves from one of the vehicles, a compact grey or silver passenger car.

The occupant of the second vehicle, a red passenger car, had become pinned by the dashboard and needed to be extricated by Manchester Fire Department personnel. The trapped victim had suffered traumatic cardiac arrest from the impact of the collision, and despite immediate medical attention, he died at the scene, according to MFD Battalion Chief Ken Proulx

Resources sent to the scene included Engines 3, 9, 7, Rescue 1, Battalion Chief Proulx, AMR ALS 2, and ALS 4

The area of the accident will be closed for several hours as Manchester police investigate the accident. No names or ages of the people involved have been released at this time.
