Backed by trustees and generous community donations, the new downstairs pantry turns extra space into a practical lifeline as residents face rising costs and uncertainty around federal benefits.

Police say man fired shots at officers during standoff in Londonderry, officer returned fire; Man later died by suicide (wmur.com) — Londonderry police say a man died by suicide after an hours-long standoff near a Rockingham Road gas station, during which shots were exchanged but no officers were injured. The situation began in Manchester, where police believed the man was armed and in crisis, and ended with the area contained and no wider threat to the public reported.

Derry Woman Indicted On Firearm Threat, Lamp Assault Charges: Rockingham County Superior Court Roundup (patch.com) — Rockingham County’s latest grand jury indictments include several cases tied to Londonderry, including a man accused of driving on I-93 as a habitual offender and another facing multiple drug and evidence-tampering charges in town.
