Salon Bogar to Host How-To Event

1. TODAY'S FORECAST: Today will be cloudy in Londonderry with a high of 83. There will be isolated thunderstorms tonight with a low of 70.

2. SALON BOGAR HOSTING HOW-TO EVENT: Salon Bogar will be hosting a special event on Friday, Sept. 20 for those that want to learn how to blow dry their hair like a pro. Appointments are available from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and can be made by calling the salon at 603-434-2424. Club members pay $45 and non-club members pay $50 for the event. Attendees must bring their own hairbrush and blowdryer.

3. TUESDAY MEETINGS: The Dog Park Study Committee is scheduled to meet at the Cable Access Studio at 6 p.m. A meeting of the SAU School Board will take place at the Moose Hill Council Chambers at 7 p.m. and the Conservation Commission will meet in the Sunnycrest Conference Room at 7:30 p.m.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1897, a 25-year-old London taxi driver named George Smith becomes the first person ever arrested for drunk driving after slamming his cab into a building. Smith later pled guilty and was fined 25 shillings.
