Second Officer Involved Shooting Reported In New Hampshire

The NH Attorney General's Office is investigating a second officer-involved shooting. This one is on Lake Shore Road in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, NH — State investigators have been notified of a second officer involved shooting in New Hampshire Sunday. The first was a felon and burglary suspect shot in a Concord park. The second occurred about 18 hours later on Lake Shore Rd in Manchester.

Limited details are available in the case but it occurred around 6 p.m. and potentially involved a man in a pickup truck.

"All responding Manchester officers are uninjured and the incident remains under investigation," according to Heather Hamel, the public information officer for the department.

Lake Shore Road is closed in the parking area which is closest part of the road to Lake Massabesic.

Manchester Fire and AMR ambulance were dispatched for a gunshot victim. They were told to wait away from the scene. After an extended period time, they were moved closer to the scene which is taped off with crime scene tape.

The area cordoned off is approximately 200 yards of roadway. A white pickup truck with its doors open was parked on the wrong side of the road closest to the water.

NHSP Bomb technicians were dispatched and arrived at the scene with their specialized equipment. No responders other than the technicians are around the white pick up truck.

No victims have been transported from the scene or given medical help.

MFD and AMR remain on scene with several MPD officers gathered around cruisers.

Officers in Manchester are searching for Carl Manning, an accused arsonist, who is wanted for questioning after a home on Dearborn Street in Manchester was hit with a homemade bomb causing damage to a garage and two homes. The suspect had a previous relationship with a woman who lives in the home but was not there at the time of the fire. Manning reportedly owns a pickup truck.
