Londonderry Goals Association Vice President Wendy Foley said that the boosters wanted to do something different this year for the fall fundraising efforts.
"We've sold cookie dough or magazines in the past," she said, "but this year we kind of wanted to focus on having the kids do community service, doing something for the community."
What she and the rest of the LGA board decided on was to partner with various town buildings and organizations in town to better the community.

Last week, the LHS boys players were on some of the roads in town, picking up bags full of trash.
"We tried to hit the busiest roads just to beautify Londonderry," Foley said. "I know on one occasion they were going up Stonehenge and I know one of the residents came out and thanked them."

Foley said the kids filled about 15 bags on Stonehenge, West Road, High Range Road and other streets.
Players on the girls team hit Leach Library, doing work in setting up and organizing the Dewey Decimal System.
To raise money, the players ask family members, neighbors and friends to sponsor them for their time.
According to the LGA website, a list of maintenance work is also planned for Londonderry High School, South School and some of the town cemeteries.
Foley said that the money each year goes to scholarships.
"Particularly what we try to do is raise enough money to give scholarships to all the graduating seniors," she said.
The goal is for players to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges for the two to three hours they devote to their community service projects.
