Town Hall to Close Again as Employees Meet
This is the second meeting of town employees this year.

Town hall will once again close for an hour today as employees will meet in an effort to dispel any rumors related to the budget season.
According to interim Town Manager and Police Chief Bill Hart, the goal is to enhance staff communication in town.
"It's budget season, that always inspires rumors of where there are going to be cuts," Hart said.

He specifically referenced two open positions – town manager and community development director – as staffing situations that could be part of some of the rumors.
Hart will host the meeting as lunch will be given to the staff from a local provider. He said that the general direction and philosophy of the town going forward will also be a topic of discussion.

"The primary reason is to give all the employees the straight scoop of what's going on and how we're going to do things from the horse's mouth, so to speak," Hart said.
Everyone from department heads to part-time employees are invited to the meeting.
The first employee meeting took place in September, shortly after the July resignation of former Town Manager David Caron. At the time, Hart said he believed that the meeting was the first of its kind in the town.
