Monday Essentials: The Concerts Continue!

1. Terrific tunes in town. Ken Yates and Brian Dunne are the latest musical talent to highlight the Londonderry Concerts on the Common schedule. They play this Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Londonderry Town Common, with a backup location of the Londonderry High School Cafeteria, in case of rain. This week's show is described as follows:

We again welcome recording artists Ken Yates and Brian Dunne. They both performed for Concerts On The Common last year, and we wanted to get them back for an encore! Brian Dunne was part of Boston’s music scene for many years before moving to New York City. His pop/rock style is widely influenced by Sam Cooke, Tom Waits and Bruce Springsteen. A simplicity and devotion to his music making craft is what makes Brian’s music so authentic and addicting.

2. Back to the 80s? Yes, two weeks ago, Londonderry saw temperatures in the 90s for about six-straight days. Last week, the daily highs dropped into the 70s. This week, temperatures level out in the low 80s throughout the next five days beginning Monday with forecasted high of 80 degrees and a 50-percent chance of scattered thunderstorms. 3. On the agenda. The lone Londonderry municipal or school district meeting on this week's schedule is a Town Council meeting this Thursday at 7 p.m. Among items to be discussed, acting Londonderry Town Manager Bill Hart will provide an update on the town manager search and the council will also discuss a Tax Increment Finance (TIF) district.
