Will a New Town Manager be Named Tonight?
Here are six things you should absolutely know today in Londonderry.

1. Return of the king? Kevin Smith is no stranger to Londonderry. In fact, the current Litchfield resident and 2012 New Hampshire gubernatorial candidate graduated Londonderry High School and still announces football games for the Lancers. If reports are accurate, he'll return to Londonderry as town manger, and an official announcement may come as early as tonight's Londonderry Town Council meeting.
2. Also on the agenda. In addition to an update on the town manager search from acting Londonderry Town Manager Bill Hart, the Londonderry Town Council will also discuss a Tax Increment Finance (TIF) district. For the complete agenda, click here.

3. Don't get scammed! Customers from a number of New Hampshire banks are reporting receiving phone calls and text messages stating their debit or credit card has been compromised and asking the customer to provide sensitive personal information, and Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and New Hampshire Bankers Association President Christiana Thornton have issued a consumer alert to all New Hampshire residents warning them about a phone scam currently active in the state. 4. Rain tonight? Today's going to be another beautiful day, as The National Weather Service calls for mostly sunny skies through the morning and into the afternoon with a high near 82 and a 30-percent chance of rain. The precipitation likeliness increases to 100-percent tonight with a low around 66 degrees.
5. Are you in need of some hairspray? The Derryfield Repertory Theatre is proud to present "Hairspray," Broadway's musical comedy phenomenon that inspired a major motion picture. The audience will be swept away to 1960s Baltimore in this international smash-hit musical, piled bouffant-high with laughter and romance - and enough deliriously tuneful songs to fill a nonstop platter party. The cast features emerging talent from New Hampshire, Boston, and New York City. Performances are Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3 at The Derryfield School Performing Arts Auditorium. Tickets are $15 and are available at www.derryfield.org/summer/DRT or at the box office before the show. Looking for more fun summer ideas? Check out our Patch event calendar by clicking here.
