• Society for Protection of NH Forests Celebrates Grants as LCHIP Marks 25th Anniversary (indepthnh.org) — Madbury’s Powder Major’s Forest is set to grow significantly, with a new LCHIP grant helping the Forest Society acquire 133 more acres stretching to Hayes Road. The expansion will protect key wildlife habitat and important Oyster River tributaries that support regional drinking water, while a public fundraising campaign in 2026 will cover remaining project costs.
