  1. Manchester police said that they are searching for a suspect in connection to a stabbing early Sunday morning in downtown Manchester. Police are searching for Desmel Cooper, 40, who is wanted on charges of first-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon as a convicted felon. Manchester police responded around 1 a.m. Sunday to a fight in the area of Nutfield Lane at the 603 Bar and Grill, where officers found a 37-year-old man lying on the ground. The man, who had been stabbed multiple times, was taken to Elliot Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information leading to the whereabouts of Cooper is asked to call the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711 or the Manchester Crimeline at 603-624-4040. (NBC 10 Boston; WMUR 9)
  2. Manchester's Board of Mayor and Aldermen will be holding a Special Municipal Election in Ward 6. The special election will fill a recent vacancy in the office of alderman and will be held on May 9 between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Henry J. McLaughlin Middle School at 290 South Mammoth Road. Residents of Ward 6 who wish to file to become a candidate for the position must do so before Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. (City of Manchester)
  3. As a reminder, the City of Manchester's 24/7 Winter Emergency Shelter is open from now until Apr. 30. At the end of last month, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved the terms of the lease of the property. The shelter is located at 39 Beech St. (City of Manchester)
