  1. The man investigators suspected was behind the wheel of a hit-and-run of a pedestrian earlier this week has been found dead. The hit-and-run crash resulted in the death of Manchester’s Michale Vigneault, 35, on Sunday morning. Police believed 59-year-old Shawn Croteau was the driver who was found dead. The investigation is ongoing. (NBC 10 Boston)
  2. Court documents from Hillsborough County District Court in Manchester reveal disturbing details about the brutal beating and burning of 7-year-old Jaevion. Jaevion’s mother, Rainah Riley, said, “The hospital described his injuries as torture, mutilation, and brutalization." The boy’s father, 25-year-old Murtadah Mohammad, is facing multiple counts, including one count of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault. Jaevion is in a coma and is suffering from numerous injuries, including those from scalding hot water. (NBC 10 Boston)
  3. The New Hampshire woman who left her newborn baby in the Manchester woods in December 2022 was indicted recently. Alexandra Eckersley, the daughter of the Red Sox Hall of Fame pitcher Dennis Eckersley, is being charged with two felony counts of second-degree assault, one felony count of falsifying physical evidence, and a misdemeanor charge of reckless conduct. A police report states when asked why Eckersley left her baby in a tent in the woods, she said, “What do they tell you when a plane goes down? Save yourself first.” (13 WGME)
