2 Injured in Two-Car Accident With Town Truck

Police are still investigating this morning's accident near the intersection of Manchester Street and Daniel Webster Highway.

The operators of two vehicles that collided this morning on Daniel Webster Highway escaped serious injury, but both were transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Merrimack's police and fire departments were called at 9:22 Tuesday morning to a two-car accident at the intersection of Daniel Webster Highway and Manchester Street.

Upon arrival they found a 2000 Ford F-250 registered to the town had collided with a 1999 Ford Escort. Both cars were sitting just off the roadway.

According to the operators and witnesses, the Ford F-250, operated by Michael McCann, 61, of Bristol Street in Merrimack was traveling Southbound on Daniel Webster Highway when the Ford Escort, operated by Ruth Tamulonis, 52 of Mason Street in Nashua took a left turn from Daniel Webster Highway Northbound into the path of McCann’s vehicle.

Both were transported to the hospital and the accident remains under investigation by the Merrimack Police Department.
