5 Things: 2-4 Inches of Snow Expected Today
Expected snowfall cancels house session, postpones vote on gas tax bill.

Here are five things you should know as you start your Wednesday.
1. Snow day. More snow is expected to start falling this morning and could drop between three and six inches on Merrimack before this system is expected to move out on Thursday. Today, snow is expected to start before 8 a.m., followed by a mix of rain and snow. High near 35. East wind around 16 mph. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. Tonight, rain and snow before 1 a.m., then rain between 1 and 2 a.m., and a mix of rain and snow after 2 a.m. Low around 32. East wind 9 to 14 mph becoming light in the evening. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
2. No gas tax vote today. From Nashua Patch: "As a result of safety concerns stemming from forecasts calling for heavy snow and power outages, Speaker Norelli has cancelled Legislative Session for Wednesday, Feb. 27. Committee business scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 28, will be conducted as scheduled. The next House Legislative Session will be Wednesday, March 6.

3. Heartwarming. Perhaps you've seen this, if you haven't it's a must watch. It's the story of two Texas high school basketball teams and how the actions of the coach of one team and a senior on the opposing team helped make a dream come true for a developmentally disabled team manager. Seriously, you might want to grab a tissue before you click this link.
4. Make a photo collage. Join the Merrimack Public Library on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. to capture special memories of friends, family or an event in a framed keepsake. Bring 20-25 pictures, and the library will provide the additional materials for your Fun and Friends Photo Collage. This event is open to children ages 7 and older. 5. Get your dog licensed. 2013 dog licenses are now available at the Town Clerk’s office. All dogs 4 months and older are required by law to be licensed annually by April 30. To license your dog, the town must have proof that your dog’s rabies shot is valid. In addition, if your dog is neutered or spayed, a copy of the certificate needs to be filed with the town.
