You morning news and notes in a tidy package.

Happy Tuesday Merrimack. Christmas is exactly two weeks away, and today is the third day of Hanukkah. Can you believe another year is almost passed?
1. Happy anniversary. Energia Salon invites you to celebrate its one year anniversary on Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 5-7 p.m.! Enjoy food from Qdoba Mexican Grill food, Stocked Fridge and The Pizza Kitchen, live entertainment, along with raffles and prizes, and festive drinks and coffee provided by ADM Vending. Get 25 percent off all products (as our client appreciation), a complete hair color foil, haircut, and special holiday event style. Bring your outworn warm coats, hats, scarves and gloves in good, clean and wearable condition to this anniversary event! Energia Salon is collecting items to make this winter a little warmer for children, teens and adults in need
2. Sneaky elves. There's no denying the Elf on the Shelf has become a staple in many households to help keep the kids in line in the exciting weeks leading up to Christmas. More than that, we're just loving the creative places the elves are appearing. We've already had a few uploads, but we'd love to see where all the elves are showing up around Merrimack. Click here to upload photos of the fun places yours is waiting for the kids in the morning!

3. Story time with Dudley. Join the Merrimack Public Library on Wednesday from 10:15-11 a.m. for story time therapy dog Dudley and his owner Karen Demyanovich. This is a special 45-minute, drop-in story time class. Bring a favorite book for Karen to read. Karen is a Reading Specialist who recently retired from the Merrimack School District. This event is open to Merrimack residents ages 3 and older with an adult caregiver; no registration needed. Younger siblings can also attend.
4. Lock up! The Merrimack Police Department wants to remind everyone to keep their vehicle doors locked at night and when they go shopping. Also, keep valuables out of sight and packages locked in your trunk. Retrieve packages left outside on your doorstep, and be aware of suspicious vehicles or persons in your neighborhoods. Call the police at 424-3774 immediately if you have any concerns.
