Find Patch on YouTube and Merrimack Patch on Instagram.

Here are five things you should know as you start your Wednesday.

1. Democrats meet. February meeting of the Merrimack Town Democratic Committee is tonight at 7 p.m. Open to all registered Democrats. This meeting takes place in the Matthew Thornton room, 2nd floor (the old Courthouse Room) at Town Hall. Be a part of our growing committee and contribute to our agenda to support progressive legislation and maintain our Democratic majorities in 2014. Please contact Kim Kojak, Chair, with any questions.

2. Get social. You've connected with Merrimack Patch on Facebook and Twitter (or have you?) and now you can connect with us on Instagram and Twitter. On Tuesday, Patch launched a new YouTube page where you can find Patch videos from around the country. Learn more about your Patch neighbors by subscribing to our YouTube page. And connect locally with Merrimack Patch on Instagram. We've been posting Instagram pictures here and there from editor Carolyn Dube's personal account, but now, find a Merrimack Patch dedicated account. Follow us and we'll follow you back. You never know when we may contact you to feature one of your stunning, quirky or just plain interesting photos on our homepage.

3. Looking for a good book? The third Wednesday of each month Merrimack Public Library hosts a book discussion. Tonight's discussion is about "The Thirty-nine Steps," by John Buchan. "Set during WWI, this is the story of an ordinary gentleman who finds himself mixed up in a plot to undermine the British war effort." If you've read it join the discussion tonight from 7-8:45, otherwise get ready for next month's discussion by checking out a copy of "The Spy Who Came in From the Cold," by John Le Carre. "This modern classic is unique as the author acquired his knowledge of international espionage firsthand while serving as an operations agent for the British M15." Prefer to just find a good book? Check out the library's list of recommendations from past book discussions.

4. Weather watch. Today's forecast calls for increasing clouds, with a high near 36. West wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Tonight, Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. West wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
