5 Things: Help the Historical Society Locate Old Photos
Do you have pictures of Merrimack from way back when, or even not-so-way-back-when? Help build the collection at the Merrimack Historical Society.

Here are five things you should know as you start your Friday.
1. Historical photos. The Merrimack Historical Society continues its search for photos from Merrimack’s past. The last request sought photos from the Reeds Ferry area. This one concerns the Thornton’s Ferry area and South Daniel Webster Highway as well as Merrimack Airways, which became Sanders Airport and is now BAE Systems; the Merrimack Drive In Theater; the Vacca home across from the Mastricola farm; the Basket Barn; the Flea Market where Burger King is now located; the Community Gardens on Wright Avenue; the Merrimack/then Hilton/then Ramada Inn; Cox’s Store; French’s Store; Welch’s Store; the Old Shaw’s Plaza when it was alive and well; Schoolhouse No. 11 at D.W. Highway and Manchester streets; the Petting Zoo on Webb Drive; and the China Dragon Restaurant where Papergraphics is now located. Contact Anita at anitacreager59@comcast.net or 424-5084 if you can help.
