5 Things: Invite Santa to Call Your Kids
Your morning news and notes in a tidy package.

Here are five things you should know as you start your Monday.
1. Santa calling. The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registrations for our “Santa Calling” program. This program is open to the children of Merrimack, ages pre-school through second grade. Santa would love to surprise your children with a very special phone call this holiday season! If you would like your children to receive a call from the North Pole, please fill out a registration form and mail it to the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Dept., 6 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH 03054 or fax to 424-0461 by Dec. 14. Calls will be made to the children of Merrimack on the evenings of Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 18 and 19, from 6-8 p.m. If Santa misses you, he will try again the following day. Registration forms are available at the Town Hall, the Public Library, the town website www.merrimacknh.gov, by e-mail at parksdept@merrimacknh.gov or by calling the Parks and Recreation Dept. at 420-1435.
2. School Board meets. The Merrimack School Board will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Matthew Thornton Room, formerly the Town Hall Meeting Room. On the agenda is a presentation by Superintendent Marge Chiafery of the proposed budget for 2013-14 and a recap with Moderator Lynn Christensen of the election at the high school.
