5 Things: Nemo Finds Merrimack Today
Southern New Hampshire could see up to two feet of snow.

Here are five things you need to know as you start your Friday.
1. Tracking Nemo. Winter Storm Nemo was expected to have begun late Thursday night (at this writing it was still approaching.) But if it's not coming down yet, snow is imminent. A winter storm warning from the National Weather Service says its possible Southern New Hampshire could net 18-24 inches of snow, most of it falling between Friday evening and Saturday morning. Visibility on the roads may be hampered by patchy fog before 4 p.m. and patchy freezing fog after 4 p.m. Perisistent wind with gusts up to 26 mph and the high is expected to be around 30 degrees. Accumulation of up to 4 inches expected. Tonight, The snow could be heavy at times. Patchy freezing fog before 2am. Low around 17. Blustery, with a north wind 21 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Snow accumulation could reach 13 inches. Snow is expected to continue int Saturday, mainly before 2 p.m. and it could be heavy at times. High near 19 an windy with a north wind 21 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph.
2. And for the rest of your weekend. Once the storm passes through, Saturday night is expected to be partly cloudy with a low around 2 and a a northwest wind 11 to 21 mph. The sun comes out again Sunday with a high near 33. Sunday night will be mostly clear with a low around 11 a.m.

4. New writing group. Inspired by the Merrimack Public Library's NaNoWriMo participants, it has formed a new monthly meeting for adult writers. New and experienced writers are invited to share their work and give feedback to others. Registration helpful but not required. This new Writer's Group meets Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 7-8:30 p.m.
