5 Things: Planning Board to Discuss Flatley Property

Your morning news and notes in a tidy package.

Here are five things you need to know as you start your Tuesday.

1. Planning Board to meet. The Merrimack Planning Board will meet tonight in the Matthew Thornton Room at Town Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m. As part of the agenda, they will speak with representatives from the John J. Flatley Co. regarding a proposal to subdivide its land adjacent to St. Gobain at the northern end of Daniel Webster Highway. The full agenda is attached in PDF format.

2. Fine forgiveness. The Merrimack Public Library is using the month February for a "Bring Back the Books" initiative.  Throughout the month Merrimack Library cardholders can return overdue items and have outstanding overdue fines waived.”  The two primary goals of “Bring Back the Books” are to re-engage users who have accumulated fines they can’t pay and to get back long overdue materials. Fine amnesty applies only to overdue fines of Merrimack cardholders; fees for damaged or lost items stay intact. 3. Support group. The new preschool special education parent support group – designed to meet other parents, share ideas,access resources and build a network of support – will hold an introductory "Meet and Greet" today at noon at Reeds Ferry Elementary School. 4. Chamber membership meeting. Mark your calendar to attend the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce's annual membership meeting on Thursday, Feb. 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Hosted by Fidelity Investments, this annual event  is open to all employees and staff of current member businesses and to those who are considering joining. Enjoy refreshments and appetizers while networking with other business professionals, Chamber Board members and staff, and local and regional government officials. IMPORTANT:  You must register in advance to attend and Fidelity Security will require a Government Issued ID when you arrive. Register now.
