5 Things: Snow Is on the Way

Your morning news and notes in a tidy package.

Happy Friday. Who's psyched for the weekend?! Here are five things you should know as you kick it off.

1. Merrimack Networkers Christmas lunch. Celebrate the first six months of networking with a Yankee Swap and Christmas lunch at the D.W. Diner today from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Please bring a $10 Yankee Swap gift. Fun times, even if you have not been to a Merrimack Networkers event, you can come along and see why building relationships is so important to networking.

2. Kindergarten registration. Merrimack School District will begin kindergarten enrollment in a little less than a month. The registration process will begin with parents picking up registration packets at their neighborhood school from Tuesday, Jan. 8 through Friday, Jan. 11, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Registration materials for kindergarten and grade one students will be returned to their respective school between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22. Get more details on the SAU 26 website.

4. Deck the House. We have three houses in the running to be Merrimack's best decked out house and there is still time to enter! Houses must be nominated by their owners before 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. Don't wait till the last minute though because in order to win the bragging rights as Merrimack's winner, your entry must have the most votes by then as well. Merrimack's winner will go head to head with up to 905 community winners across the country in a contest to become one of 24 finalists who will win $500 toward their December electricity bill, decided by a panel of judges from Patch. The 24 finalists will go head-to-head beginning on Dec. 18 in a contest decided by Patch readers. The house with the most votes will win $100,000 to donate to Merrimack's schools. Enter your home today.
