5 Things: Tax Bills Due Today

1. Last chance. Tax bills are due today. This is your last chance to get those bills paid without tacking on interest of 12 percent per annum. If you didn't receive your tax bill, contact Town Clerk/Tax Collector Diane Trippett ASAP to arrange for a duplicate.

2. Special caller. Santa has asked for help in surprising your children with a phone call this holiday season. If you would like your children to receive a call from Santa, please register for the Santa Calling program by Dec. 14. Sponsored by the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department, Santa Calling registration forms are available at the entrance table of Town Hall, the Merrimack Public Library, and can be downloaded from the town website. Please call the Parks and Recreation Department at 882-1046 for more information.

3. MEEP Registration. The Merrimack School District will begin enrollment for its inclusionary preschool program Merrimack Early Education Program, for the 2013-14 school year on Jan. 7. Classes are located at James Mastricola Elementary and Reeds Ferry Elementary Schools and will include preschoolers with and without developmental or learning delays to provide opportunities for children to play and learn together. 4. Find a Christmas tree. Christmas is two weeks away, do you have your tree yet? There are several locations in town to buy your tree. Check out our Christmas tree locator map if you're looking for a place to find the perfect tree and have fun trimming it!
