5 Things: Year Round Help Sought at Inside Scoop

Town Council will discuss the dog park tonight.

1. Town Council meeting. Merrimack' Town Council is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the Matthew Thornton Room for a regularly-scheduled meeting. On the agenda, the board will get an update on the dog park proposed for Wasserman Park and discuss starting the projecting with tree clearing. The board will meet at 6:15 p.m. for a non-public meeting. Get the agendas on the town website.

2. ICYMI. We were sad to see signs on the doors at New England Country Pies on Wednesday announcing that today is the last day the restaurant/bakery is closing permanently as of today. After 17 years in the community, the home of the Mile High Pie will no longer have a retail space at 736 Milford Road. A sign on the door says pies are still available at Shaw's, BJ's and Market Basket. Read more.

3. AM Networking. Join the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce and guest presenter Pastor Ron Moore Jr., from The Church @ The Intersection for AM Networking on Friday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Oonagh Williams, award winning chef and instructor, will be bringing one of her signature items to make our breakfast all the sweeter, an almond tart.
