Merrimack Police Charge Man with ID Theft, Forgery

A Manchester man was arrested in Merrimack over the weekend on charges that he stole money from a former employer by stealing checks forging and cashing them.

Luke Pesaturo, 22, of 50 Lowell St., No. 30, Manchester, was charged with identity theft and forgery when Merrimack Police arrested him on Sept. 13.

Around noon on Friday, Merrimack Police were dispatched to the area of Turkey Hill Road and Sarah Drive for the report of a suspicious vehicle. By the time officers checked the area, the vehicle was gone, however an officer a short time later spotted the car on Turkey Hill Road.

Officers made contact with the driver of the car, identified as Pesaturo. A records check revealed that there was an outstanding arrest warrant for Pesaturo for identity theft and forgery. The warrant stems from a joint investigation between TD Bank Global Security Investigations, and Salem and Merrimack Police Departments dating back to February 2013.

Pesaturo was arrested and transported to the Merrimack Police Department for processing. He was later released on $4,500 personal recognizance pending his arraignment before the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack on Oct. 22, to answer to the charges.
