Beat the Heat Over the Next 3 Days
We've got ways for you to cool off when the mercury rises into the 90s.

With three days in a row expected to crawl into the 90s, it's certainly going to feel like summer the next three days. Hopefully for those of you with pools, Memorial Day weekend was spent at least in part getting those pools prepped for summer. You may want to take dip before we flip the calendar pages to June.
Here are five ways we recommend beating the heat in Merrimack.
1. Grab a cone. Merrimack has no shortage of ice cream havens, so take a trip up or down the D.W. Diner to one of them for a sweet treat. Axel's, King Kone, and Swan Chocolates have got you covered today. Soft serve, gelato and hard ice cream are all available in Merrimack, so take your pick!

2. Take a dip. If you have a pool, or a friend who has one, there's no better a time to spend the afternoon soaking in the water. Let those fingers and toes get pruny! If you don't have a pool, consider a trip to one of Merrimack's swimming spots, like Naticook Lake or the Souhegan River at Watson Park.
3. Play indoors. Looking for a way to play but want to get out of the sun? Head up to Merrimack Ten Pin or NUThin' But Good Times for a dose of fun not in the sun. NUThin' But Good Times is an indoor playground with slides, jungle gyms and so much more. And they even serve food and beverages and cater to the needs of those with food allergies. Better yet? It is air conditioned. Or work on polishing your game at Merrimack Ten Pin. A few strings at Merrimack's only bowling facility and you'll forget how hot it is outside.

4. Catch a flick. Cinemagic in Merrimack has a handful of family-friendly movies starting matinees between 11:30 and running at intervals throughout the day. Get out of the heat and into the cool seats of the theater for at least a couple hours. Movie listings can be found here.
5. Curl up with a good book. Head over to the library and grab a favorite book or one you've been dying to read and camp out for a few hours in the air conditioning catching up with your favorite fictional characters. The library is open from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. today, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
