Capital Area Student Leadership Group Visits County Corrections Dept.
The facility welcomed 34 students who participated from eight local high schools throughout Merrimack County.

Merrimack County Department of Corrections was pleased to host the 2023 Capital Area Student Leadership (CASL) group March 22.
The facility welcomed 34 students who participated from eight local high schools throughout Merrimack County. The afternoon consisted of an overview and tour of the County Corrections facility. Presentations from facility staff and a panel discussion involving law enforcement agencies were also held. One of the highlights of the day was the ability to have open discussion with a sentenced incarcerated individual.

As a community leader, Merrimack County Department of Corrections has proudly hosted in the CASL program for several years, providing students with knowledge of the criminal justice system and how county corrections works.
Merrimack County Department of Corrections looks forward to continuing its partnership with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce in support of the CASL program.
