Car Rips Through Town Information Booth
No one was injured in the early Sunday morning accident.
Merrimack Police are investigating an accident early Sunday morning that left the information booth in the center of town in pieces strewn across the road.
Matthew Jones, 22, of 2 Maple Ridge Drive, Merrimack, was traveling north through town in a 2004 Acura TL when police say he fell asleep at the wheel.
His car left the travel portion of the roadway, went over a curb onto the grass and just narrowly missed a flag pole and a fire hydrant crashing into the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce informational structure. The accident is currently being investigated by Officer Spillane.

Jones was not injured in the accident.
Merrimack Police, Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the scene. Anyone who may have any information about the accident can contact Spillane at 424-3774.
