Check Out a Piece of Vintage Fire Apparatus at the Expo

Merrimack's 1938 fire truck will be on display at Merrimack Fall Festival and Business Expo.

During this weekend's Merrimack Fall Festival and Business Expo, the vintage 1938 Fire Engine owned by the Merrimack Firefighters Association will be on display. Stop by and visit the antique truck, take some photos and learn more about this antique auto.

According to Merrimack resident Tim Dutton, the town bought the engine new in 1938 and retired it in 1980. The Merrimack Fire Fighters Association bought the engine for $1 and maintains it. This was the first fire engine that was bought brand new for the town. It was originally numbered as Engine 1.

The Merrimack Fire Association will hold a boot drive at the Expo to help with maintenance and up keep.
