Coding Boot Camp at NCC offers accelerated career training
Choose front or back end software development

MERRIMACK - Get career-ready in 18 weeks with a new Coding Boot Camp hosted by the Community and Corporate Training Center at Nashua Community College in partnership with Promineo Tech.
“This Coding Boot Camp is 100 percent online and has a consistent schedule, so it can complement our students’ busy lives,” said NCC Computer Training Coordinator Kimberly Eckenrode, “It is the perfect fit for someone who wants to stay at their current full-time job while learning the skills they need for a new career direction.” Students who enroll this fall may be eligible for free tuition through the Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief and Recovery. The program is also WIOA-eligible.
Promineo Tech works with community colleges to prepare students for high-growth careers in software development through the remote, noncredit programs.

Back End Software Development: Class Begins October 5, 2020

In the 18-week, Back End Software Development program, students take three courses to learn the skills and technologies necessary to enter the industry as a Back End Software Developer, such as: Introduction to Java, Relational Databases with MySQL, and Web API Design with Spring Boot. Anyone interested can join a free informational session through Zoom on September 22.
Front End Software Developer: Class begins November 10, 2020
In the 18-week, Front End Software Development program, students take three courses to learn the skills and technologies necessary to enter the industry as a Front End Software Developer. Courses include: Introduction to JavaScript, Front End Technologies, and Web App Design with React. Join an informational session via Zoom on October 27.
How Coding Boot Camp classes work
Students meet online once a week. In addition to the weekly class meeting, students meet once a week for a remote, 30-minute one-on-one with a mentor. Students start each academic week on Sunday and are required to watch all videos and start working on assignments/projects before their meeting online to be prepared.
Alumni Stories
Promineo Tech President Nick Suwyn shared several stories of Coding Boot Camp students who were able to begin new careers in software development.
- Samentha S. – Samentha was a server at a restaurant for seven years after graduating high school, and planned to pursue an education to become a nurse. She took an intro to HTML class and loved it, then enrolled at Promineo Tech. After completing the program, she was hired as an Application Developer at Nationwide Insurance.
- Bryce A. – Bryce had been working in special education helping children with developmental disabilities learn life skills and independence. He had started studying Medicinal Biochemistry to further his career in the health industry, but eventually started to feel like he was being mentally stretched enough in his current line of work. He went through Promineo Tech and landed a job as a Software Engineer 1 at Choice Hotels International.
- Kirsten N. – Kirsten was stay-at-home mother with grown children who decided to pursue her past interest in software development. She enrolled in Promineo Tech and landed a job as a software developer at Webster University.
