Committee to Continues Toll Bill Discussion Today

Here are five things you should know as you start your Wednesday.

1. Toll bill. The House Public Works and Highways Committee today is expected to take up the toll bill, SB 3, sponsored by Senate President Peter Bragdon. The bill would eliminate the toll at Exit 12, however, committee members during their last discussion of the bill appear to be moving toward tabling the bill until the discussion of the state turnpike system overhaul expected at the end of the year.

2. Volunteers needed. Town of Merrimack is seeking volunteers for the newly formed Highway Garage Building Advisory Committee. The committee’s responsibilities consist of reviewing the current facility and assessing the needs as they pertain to the populated areas, i.e. the lunchroom, bathroom, office space, and the mechanic bays.

3. ZBA. The Merrimack Zoning Board of Adjustment is scheduled to meet tonight in the Matthew Thornton Room at 7 p.m. for a regularly scheduled meeting. Get the agenda online.
