Deer Stuck In A Fence At Merrimack Cemetery Freed By Firefighters
A passerby saw a deer struggling while in a fence and notified the fire department. Using the Jaws of Life, the deer was freed uninjured.

MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack Firefighters were notified of a deer that was trapped in the fence at a local cemetery on Thursday.
Firefighters responded and, when they arrived, found a deer that was diligently trying to free herself but was wedged in the fence. The crew from Merrimack Fire Engine 2 consulted with New Hampshire Fish and Game and went to work to free the doe.
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to spread the wrought iron fence bars and created enough room so that the deer could free herself.
