In the spirit of good-natured competition, Merrimack Patch Editor Carolyn Dube and Bedford Patch Editor Ryan O'Connor have wagered a friendly bet that involves sweets from each town.

Here's what's going down off the ice.

If Bedford wins the game today, Dube has to buy O'Connor a half dozen cupcakes from Cupcake Conspiracy in Merrimack. If Merrimack wins, O'Connor buys Dube a half dozen from Cupcakes 101 in Bedford.

Oh, and then there's the little detail of the losing editor having to proclaim the winning's school as the dominant school. And yes, there will be photographic evidence required.

May the best team win.
