Donations Sought to Help With Teen's Funeral Expenses
Collection boxes have been placed at four Brazilian stores in Nashua.
The family and friends of a Merrimack High School student who died May 27 are raising money to help his family with the associated funeral expenses.
Collection boxes have been placed at four locations around Nashua to help raise money for Arthur "Arty" Dias' funeral.

Cafe Brasileiro Em Nashua, (33 Lowell Street), Tropicalside Nashua, (1 Spring Street) Sabor Brasil Restaurant (42 Canal Street), and Bosco Store (42 Canal Street) all have a box wrapped in silver paper with a flyer that has a picture of Dias and explains in English and Portuguese why they are collecting money.
Dias, 17, whose parents live in Merrimack and Nashua, was an athlete and honors student at Merrimack High School. News of his death spread through the high school community on Memorial Day and Principal Kenneth Johnson said he activated the school's crisis team Tuesday morning when the kids returned to school.

According to Dias' obituary, he was at time during his high school career a member of the wrestling, football, soccer and hockey teams.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday June 1, in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua, from 2-6 p.m. A funeral service will be held immediately following in the funeral home at 6 p.m.
