Senate Votes to Remove Exit 12 Toll
Senate President: Removing that Everett Turnpike toll is "an issue of fairness" for Merrimack.

The New Hampshire Senate on Thursday passed a bill to remove the ramp tolls at Exit 12 on the Everett Turnpike in Merrimack.
Senate Bill 3, as introduced, aimed to remove toll booths at three exits in Merrimack. It was amended in committee and the full Senate passed it on a voice vote.
Senate President Peter Bragdon (R-Milford), a sponsor of the bill, called the bill a matter of fairness for Merrimack residents and businesses. Bragdon turned over the gavel to President Pro Tem Bob Odell so that he could advocate for the bill from the Senate floor.

"This is an issue of fairness," Bragdon said. "Drivers in Merrimack pay tolls other drivers who use the turnpike are not burdened with. I look forward to advocating for this bill in the House."
