Frosty Windshield Leads to Pedestrian Accident in Merrimack
The driver, Kyle Heidbreder, 17, of Merrimack was issued two court summonses.
A Merrimack teen was issued a court summons after he hit someone with his car on Thursday.
At 5:49 p.m. Thursday, Merrimack Police responded to the parking lot of Gold's Gym at 515 D.W. Highway for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, police located a 2002 Honda Civic in front of Gold’s Gym and a subject lying on the ground in front of the vehicle, later identified as Stephanie Burant, 45, of Howe Street in Manchester.
Burant was conscious and alert, suffering from what appears to be a non-life-threatening injury. The Merrimack Fire Department transported her to Elliot Hospital in Manchester for evaluation.
Witnesses at the scene stated that the Civic was traveling slowly but the windshield was frosted over.
The driver, Kyle Heidbreder, 17, of 20 Riverside Drive was issued a summons for negligent driving and a summons for a youth operator license violation for having more than one passenger in his vehicle at the time that was under the age of 25 and not a family member. He is scheduled to appear in 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack on Feb. 25.
