Thursday, July 11, (7/11) is free Slurpee day at 7-Eleven.
The event is held annually to celebrate the unofficial birthday of the Slurpee, the trademark drink to the nation's largest convenience store chain.
In past years, the free brain-freeze inducing drink has been 7.11 ounces, however, according to USA Today, this year's free Slurpee will be the 12 ounce version of the drink -- about 42 percent more free sugary, icy goodness -- due to moms who requested cups with lids available in a less mess approach.
The promotion will run from 11a.m. to 7 p.m.
