Have a Vision for Old Olympic Video Space?
Let us know what you think should move into this vacant store front on Daniel Webster Highway.
Last year saw the closure of a longtime movie store in Merrimack, likely a sign of the times with other movie rentals giants Blockbuster and Movie Scene closing hundreds of stores around the country in recent years.
The closure of the store, which shared a small plaza with Domino's Pizza and Florence's Restaurant, has left another vacancy in town, another space for lease.
Yesterday we noticed a coming soon sign at the former Out of the Woods Cafe, which also closed mid-year in 2012, announcing the pending opening of Merrymac Games and Comics, which is sure to excite some but not all.

The fun of it is that it really becomes a wish list of the things people want to see come to town, realistic or not. It's fun to dream, right? We know a new supermarket tops that list, but what else do you think would make Merrimack a better, more fun, convenient, or interesting place to live?
Feel free to be creative. It could be a long shot, but perhaps your idea kicks around another idea that actually becomes a viable option.
And if you or someone you know is interested in leasing a storefront in town, there is a large "For Lease" sign in the window of the old Olympic Video. Call 603-365-7589 if you're interested in more information about the space.
