Help Sought in Sprucing Up MES Playground

Here are five things you should know as you start your Wednesday

1. Playground cleanup. Do you have a green thumb, work for a landscaping company or know someone who does?  On Thursday, May 16, the MES Student Council (in honor of Earth Day) will be sprucing up the playground and  could use some help and/or advise.   If you are able to help, please contact Mr. Gratton at Jay.Gratton@merrimack.k12.nh.us or 603-424-6218.

2. Dog park. Tonight, directly before the Merrimack Parks and Recreation meeting at 7 p.m., Kyle Fox will give a presentation on the Merrimack Dog Park and entertain questions about the plans for the park at Wasserman Park. Fox's presentation will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall conference room. Get the full Parks and Recreation meeting schedule here.

3. Jackpot. The Powerball jackpot has climbed to a whopping $360 million for tonight's drawing. A cash lump sum payout would net the winner $229.2 million. Want to get a ticket or two? Here's a list of where tickets are sold in town.
