Huff Brown: 'I Am The Independent Conservative'
1st Congressional District candidate: Granite Staters are worried about paying their bills, heating their homes, putting food on the table.

I am an independent conservative, a working mother, grandmother, and military spouse. I am deeply concerned about the direction of our country, but I am optimistic about the future we can create for our children and grandchildren if we stop the Biden administration and take back our voice in Congress.
For nearly four years I fought for the America First Agenda and worked to hold China at bay. While my husband Scott Brown was serving as President Donald Trump’s Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa, I was president of the Diplomatic Spouses Association. But we came home to New Hampshire and I no longer recognized the country I love–Joe Biden’s agenda has had a devastating impact on our state.

I have spent the last year talking with Granite Staters who are worried about paying their bills, heating their homes, and putting food on the table. Under Biden, we have 40-year high inflation, a sky-high cost of living, and home heating fuel prices that will force some Granite Staters to choose between heating their homes and putting food on their tables. It’s unacceptable.
I have called for a suspension of the gas tax because of one simple reason: Granite Staters deserve relief now! The government needs to leave our money in our pockets.

In Congress, I will fight to pass a Parent’s Bill of Rights because parents deserve a seat in the classroom. We must go back to basics: Reading, writing, and arithmetic. We need history lessons that honor our past while acknowledging our amazing progress.
Taxpayers, especially parents, deserve increased transparency from our schools–we deserve to know where our money is being spent, what topics and subjects are being taught, and what is happening in our schools. I was an active and involved parent, so I know just how important a Parent’s Bill of Rights is.
Like too many of you, I have lost friends to the fentanyl crisis that is killing Granite Staters. As a former investigative journalist, I wanted to see firsthand the crisis at the border so that I could understand the issues and develop real solutions. I went to the southern border. What I saw was far worse than I could have imagined.
I spent time with Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council, the union representing over 18,000 Border Patrol agents. I saw where the wall stopped – and I was horrified. Where there is a wall, there is an 80 percent apprehension rate. Where there is no wall, there is a 30 percent apprehension rate. The math is simple–we must finish the damn wall.
I’m honored to have the endorsement of the National Border Patrol Council–they know I will work with them to provide the policy changes, including closing the asylum loophole.
To quote the Union Leader’s recent endorsement of my campaign, “We don’t think Chris Pappas and the Democrats want to face Gail Huff Brown this November.”
