Community Corner

I Give My Thanks To...

Did someone help you during the storm? Just want to say thank you to the highway crews, police and fire? Tell us here.

When storms strike, we see neighbors pull together to help each other out in a pinch. We hear stories of residents baking cookies for the fire department or taking hot coffee to the plow drivers.

People with plows offer their assistance to neighbors and friends with snowblowers lend a hand.

At Patch, we're about connecting neighbors with neighbors and telling the stories that make the community great, and sometimes, we just want the opportunity to say thanks.

So to start this off. Thank you to the Merrimack Highway Department for all that you do to keep the roads clean in bad weather and to fix them in the summer after the winter has had it's fun.

Thank you to the men and women of the police and fire departments who are there during a storm especially, but all year round to respond to emergency and keep the community safe.

And on a personal note, thank you to our friend Steve who leant us his snowblower and his time to help us dig through our driveway at home today. We'd still be shoveling on Monday if not for you. And thank you to our neighbor, Sean, who despite having been at work all day removing snow from the yard at his construction company, came home and cleared the sidewalks in front of the house.

Shout your thanks to whomever may have helped you in the storm or tell stories of generosity you saw play out while preparing, riding out or cleaning up from the Nor'Easter. Tell us in the comments section below!
