Nothing like a mid-afternoon rain storm that breezes in and out to tell you summer in New England is here.
This is one of the cool new features of Patch's brand new iPhone app (get it in the iTunes Store or update the old app if you already had it.)
The new app not only has a sleeker look, but it has some pretty fantastic new functionality, too.
Swipe across your screen to slide through the most recent news posts, swipe up an down to find different sections of Patch.
See the plus sign at the bottom? Tap that and swirl. You can upload a note, a letter, a quick observation or even a photo or video right to our new Patch boards.
I shot the above clip of getting caught in a torrential downpour just as I arrived at the district court. I used iMovie to give it a quick edit and saved to my camera roll.
Then I pulled that video in the same way you can, by clicking that plus sign on the bottom of the Patch app.
And voila, instant post.
Go ahead! Try it out. Are you going to the Fourth of July festivities in town next week? Snap a photo or post a quick video clip (no editing necessary, just keep it clean) and upload it to Patch and share with your neighbors.
