Intoxicated Man Arrested After Putting Himself to Bed in Wrong House

A Merrimack man who found his way into a bed in a stranger's home over the weekend has been charged with criminal trespass.

Ryan Maszczak, 35, of Dalton Court, Merrimack, was intoxicated, police say, when he let himself into a home and then a woman's bedroom on Kingston Court on Saturday.

Police say a woman called to report an unknown man in her bedroom and by the time they arrived, he was sleeping in a bed. Police say Maszczak was intoxicated and appeared to have walked into the wrong home in the nearby cluster of condo and town home-style units in Merrimack Commons.

Maszczak was arrested and released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. He was ordered to appear in the 9th Circuit Court, District Division in Merrimack on Aug. 9 to answer the misdemeanor offense. A misdemeanor is punishable by a year in jail and/or a $2,000 fine.
