Man Arrested at Mobil Station for Possession of Crack Cocaine

The following information was provided by Merrimack Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

 A Nashua man facing numerous child pornography charges in the Gate City was arrested in Merrimack over the weekend for allegedly having crack cocaine in his car at a local gas station.

Police say they were called to Bob Bon's Mobil at 140 Daniel Webster Highway on Friday evening regarding a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle parked in the rear of the building.

Police say they located a 1996 Jeep Cherokee parked in the rear of the building and when the officer approached the vehicle he found a male subject identified as Scott Colby, 41, of 2 Progress Ave., No. 340, Nashua inside.

Colby he was found to have small amount of crack cocaine in his possession and was arrested immediately on a charge of possession of a narcotic drug/crack cocaine.

Colby could not post his $2,500 cash bail and was held in Hillsborough County House of Correction through the weekend until he could be arraigned on Sept. 16 in Merrimack district court. 

Once at the police station Mr. Colby was charged with Possession of a Narcotic Drug/Crack Cocaine. He was placed on $2,500 cash bail that he was unable to post. Mr. Colby was transported to Hillsborough County Jail and will remain incarcerated until his arraignment on September 16, 2013 in the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack.

Colby is currently fighting nearly 60 indictments in Hillsborough County Superior Court alleging possession and attempted possession of child pornography, according to the Nashua Telegraph. His attorney's are arguing that prosecutors have no proof that the alleged children in the photos are not computer generated images or adults that look like children.
